Hwatu Night 9/17 5-8pm

Ever wondered what game those ajummas were playing with those small red cards? Now is your chance to learn! Hwatu is a Korean card game that’s easy to learn but takes a lifetime to master. Come learn to play for free!

What is Hwatu?

Hwatu is a traditional Korean card game played with a unique set of cards. In many ways, the gameplay is similar to rummy. However, if rummy is a quiet strategy session, hwatu is more of a party. Expect noise, quick rounds, and a lot of friendly teasing. Having fun is as important as winning! What will Hwatu Night feel like? Groups and solos are all welcome to join! We will walk folks through the mechanics of the game and then we will just start playing!
