Korean 101
Ready to start your Korean language-learning journey? Dive in with our Korean 101 class, where you’ll master hangul (the Korean writing system) and build a strong foundation in essential grammar and everyday sentence patterns. We’ll be using Master Korean Grammar – Level 1 by Tomi Korean.

Get Ready to Travel to Korea
Planning a trip to South Korea? You’re in the right place! In this course, you will learn helpful tips, phrases, and vocabulary for navigating the country. We will be using the book Korean Phrasebook for Travelers by Talk to Me in Korean. This course will include basic hangul instruction (how to read the Korean script).

About the Instructor
Claire Kim
안녕하세요! Annyeonghaseyo! My name is Claire Kim, and I have been teaching Korean for five years. I am a third-generation Korean American, which means that my grandparents were the first generation to immigrate to the United States. As someone who did not grow up speaking the language, I know what it’s like to start from scratch, and I am happy to share lessons from my language-learning journey, from overcoming imposter syndrome to developing effective study strategies. That’s why I emphasize both confidence and competence-building in all my courses. Looking forward to seeing you in class!
